SAHAKARA RURAL DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY (SAHARDA) is the brain child of Bidar District Cooperative Central Bank limited (DCCB). SAHARDA is the first of its kind training institute established in the country by a district cooperative central bank.
SAHARDA’s thirst areas include training in Entrepreneurship development, Livelihood Promotion, Rural development and microfinance to the staff of cooperative banks, commercial banks, Regional Rural Banks, Government officials, Board of Directors of DCCB’s, Functionaries of NGO’s, Self Help Group members, unemployed youths and functionaries of other development agencies. SAHARDA has made giant strides in its march towards capacity building of people.
SAHARDA (Sahakara Rural Development Academy) is a premier initiative established by the Bidar District Cooperative Central Bank Ltd. (DCCB), Bidar. It is the first institution of its kind in the country to be set up by a District Cooperative Central Bank, with a vision to strengthen the Self Help Group Movement and Rural agricultural cooperative movement through systematic human resource development.
The core mandate of SAHARDA is to enhance the capacity, knowledge, and confidence of all stakeholders involved in cooperative and rural development sectors.
This is achieved through structured training programs, applied research, consultancy services, and active networking.
SAHARDA plays a critical role in professionalizing and empowering personnel across cooperative institutions, including staff of cooperative banks, PACS, commercial banks, Regional Rural Banks, government departments, board members of DCCBs, NGO functionaries, Self Help Group members, and other development agencies.
With over 25 years of dedicated service, SAHARDA has emerged as a center of excellence in capacity building, contributing significantly to the professional growth of individuals and the institutional development of rural financial and cooperative sectors.
